The Social Swipe

Imagine by just swiping your credit card it would be enough to donate 2€ {228KES) without any security step? Thanks to Kolle-Rebbe, Hamburg In November 2014, this was possible. They Developed an interactive poster that revolutionizes the act of giving. With a beautiful combination of technology mixed with advertising and social responsibility. It calls on people to donate, accepts credit cards and shows every donor what their donation does.

It being the first interactive advertisement display able to accept credit cards, making donating easier than ever before. A credit card swipe through the poster donated 2 euros to MISEREOR and set off an interaction: cut a slice of bread from a loaf, showing that the cash donated was giving a day by day meal to a family in Peru. The other creative execution the credit card cut through the image of the bound hands of an imprisoned Filipino child.

The announcement, is a non-intrusive approach to get individuals to give, in addition to the fact that you avoid being awkwardly wrangled when you're strolling down the road. As a result, they were able to raise over €3,000( KSH 345,329.43)from one-off donations in the first month. Importantly, donors were given the chance to turn their one-off gift into a regular gift through a request on his or her bank statement. By offering a way to make regular donations it becomes a sustainable fundraising mechanism.
